This cross is registered as Super Ise. If you have other nobile hybrids it might be just a random cross, otherwise it is probably a selfing. I just cut any random seed pods off and throw them away, but you could do the flasking etc. yourself as a learning experience or send the pod to a flasking service.

Hello - Though I would not call them 'compact', I have a couple of hybrids with Dend. Ise, Super Ise and Super Star. One came from C&H as a 2" potted juvenile. These are pretty aggressive growers, and are crowding out of 6" pots after only a couple of years. If you think yours are compact, you might be surprised! The cultural notes on C&H's website says to withhold fertilizer during winter, but to give regular water in reduced amounts. When I got the plant from them, I figured I'd follow their advice. It has turned out to be good - both plants bloom profusely (and both keep some foliage). I do water and feed generously during the growing season. I suspect the key to good blooming is high light and no fertilizer during winter. Mine are both budding out now. I'm not sure if the nobile species need this same care, or if they demand a completely dry winter that some of the other deciduous species need. Regards - Nancy

I don't recall my Spring Dancer looking as much like an equestris. Mine is a very young plant, just finished it's first blooming with only a dozen or so blooms. I've seen pics of this plant just blanketed with blooms. Can hardly wait for mine to grow up!

Ooh I didn't think the colors would be so soft - Very pretty!! Yup me too, Sharon, Got mine from clouds. I don't see any nubs. Didn't do the colder temps. I think the leaf drop is all done tho'. Hopefully it will bloom for me. I like it alot!! Gloria
