If I had to do it all over again, and know what I do now, I would recoomend the Black & Decker BV9000 Leaf Eater (at Costco for $79.00) verses buying the $300.00 Yarkworks 'chipper' for $199.00 at Cdn Tire. You can make alot more 'mulch' with leaves than you can with sticks & cones......in way less time. (and keep that little extra money to put towards that self propelled lawn monster that's on sale now at Home Depot or towards a new snow blowing machine you know you really really want and just haven't decided on which monster model you simply must have.) Costco's Black & Decker Leaf Eater comes with the attachments for blowing, vaccuming, shredding, over the shoulder bagging and added value at Costco is that it also includes the $30.00 garbage bin collection system, and an extention cord all for $79.00 - BV9000 is the model # - nice and light weight. I think we're going to need at least 2 threads, including one for what people are bringing or looking for. If nobody objects, though, can we keep both on the 'discussion' side, and not bother with the 'exchange' side? There's really no advantage to using the exchanges for an event like this, it's meant for individuals to post plants they're going to share as individuals. Our posts about what we're planning to bring will be more of a discussion, like any other discussion, with the occasional summary that someone or another may spontaneously write up.

OK, here is my list of what I am definitely bringing to the swap tomorrow. I did all this digging today, someone remind me next year that I really should dig over the course of a month and pot stuff up, trying to dig everything in one day was probably not the right way to go about this. I dug until my energy and my back gave out! Belinda's Dream rose (for Greening) This I did pot up Ferns (for Adam) Baby Heucheras (for Adam) Pink coreopsis 'American Dream' (one bunch for Greening, and four more up for grabs) Two mature coneflowers (for AlicePalace) A bunch of yellow threadleaf coreopsis (up for grabs) Fairy rose (up for grabs) I didn't get around to digging up my daff and crocus bulbs, but I AM going to dig them this fall, so if you are interested in getting some, please let me know at the swap. (I have already promised some to FGirl -- waving hi to FGirl, who is watching from the wings). I didn't find my allium bulbs either, but I have seed from it. I also didn't dig up my coreopsis grandiflora, but I have seeds from that too. I'm bringing my seedbox. I hope I'm not letting anyone down by not bringing everything I said I would. Anyway, I am going to go take a nice big dose of ibuprofen, and then maybe go eat an ice cream sundae for supper. Oh, I still have to cook a blackberry cobbler tonight. No worries, that I can do. All right it has been about 2 weeks (I think)that I have been unable no matter what I do to post on the exchanges page, emails have been unreliable, and I have to sign in each time I want to post. Is this a GW problem or should I be looking at my lack of computer skills??? Is there anyone else who has been trying to reach fgirl or post on exchanges re the swap? I am going to start listing my goodies here hope that's OK?? kt

I have been unsuccessful making my last minute (always the procrastinator) travel plans so I am afraid I won't be able to attend the swap.
