Lessons From The Garden Or What I Learned Over Summer Vacation

I thought it would be interesting to share some New To You insights that you learned first hand in your garden this past season. Below are a few things that really resonated with me.

1. Having a cooler July and August meant less mite, aphid, and lacebug, damage offering Japanese ilex and Pieris japonica a reprieve from the annual destruction.

2. Minimal to zero bloom from tropical vines and plants due to cooler temps.

3. Average rainfall is not sufficient for newly planted understory plants they must be irrigated for the first two years.
