Anyone else growing horseradish?

I put in some horseradish last spring. Other than being a cabbage looper magnet, it's really a neat plant to watch grow in cool, wet weather. Tall, bright green leaves and some flowers. It's supposed to be invasive, but so far the hot weather had kept it at bay. I'm hoping to dig some up this fall and bottle it for winter use. Anyone else done this? Sounds like I'll need a hazmat suit and will have to do the processing outside from all I'm reading online. I'm wondering if it gets hotter grown here with our hot summers than it would up north.
