mushroom invasion!

This spring we moved our hostas into a new bed under some pines. We had to thin out some of the trees to make room. The hostas did fine all summer and we saw no sign of mushrooms. Now they're all over the place. We have had lots of rain. I don't know what kind of mushrooms they are but they're round, flat and about the size of a silver dollar and brownish in color. All I know is that I want to know how to get rid of them. There is a pesticide ban here so I was wondering what I could use instead? I thought of horticultural vinegar but I don't know how that might affect my hostas. Any suggestions? Another thing I noticed about them was that they are growing under the pines but Not in the adjacent garden. Marg
