Phrag kovachii x Saint Ouen

the first kovachii hybrid has opened. It will be registered as Phrag Haley Decker after Glen Decker, of Piping Rock Orchids, daughter. It started opening on Tuesday and the current petal spread is 4" (11cm) x 1.5"

    Thanks for the plant pics. It's nice to see that the size is not too large. P. kovachi is known to be quite LARGE!!

    I had the opportunity to see the 5 breeding plants that Alfredo Manrique has and they were much smaller than I thought. What made them look large was that they were multi growth.

    You guys all live up north, so i am guessing that this is a "cool" growing phrag. Does anyone know if there might be a warm growing hybrid in the pipeline?
