I would like to share some pictures of my new hosta bed...

That was a trouble area of my back yard by my neighbors pine trees that overshadow almost the third of my yard. Nothing grew there...very dull and boring area (large!). And muddy in winter... Thanks to the hosta forum, and to a friendly advices, it looks all different now.

From start to finish it took me a month to double dig, to add all the good stuff - straw, paper and grass clippings, to add compost, to mix it with clay, to add some more... etc., etc....All hosta plants were purchased this spring, and each one is planted on a fish.

Here it is, from mid-start to finish (I have to fill the second part of the bed with ajuga, though...and it is not agressive for me!)Flower bed is about 50 feet by...don't know, it's wide.

P.S. I just purchased 50 more hostas for the future bed on the front lawn:))
