That mean a lot to me. My last living grandparent passed away a week ago last Saturday. I received a few things from her estate. but these two are the dearest to my heart.

This 10" cast iron chicken fryer My mom is in her 70's and remembers this skillet as a child. I love to use cast iron to cook and this is very special.

Clickable thumbs.

I've spent about 3 hours cleaning and then re-seasoned it. My grandmother had glaucoma and it got a little nasty in her later years. The iron as almost as smooth as glass on the inside of the skillet. Did some fish battered fried chicken in it last night. The girls loved it.

You can't tell by the size, but this Christmas Cactus is older than I am. My grandmother grew it very hard like a cactus instead of a tropical. It hasn't been outside since she's owned it. There are stems coming out of the rock hard garden soil over an inch thick. Going to take a bunch of cuttings in the next few days.
