Anyone growing easy does it in zone 5?
Comments (8)I planted Easy Does It in my zone 5 Northern Michigan (lower peninsula) garden last year. It made it through the winter beautifully. I did mound it with 12" of mulch. I grow it in my lower yard which tends to be a frost pocket, but it still did well. There are a range of zone 5's, as you can see. There's probably a two week difference between the lower and upper peninsula in Michigan - I uncovered my roses about a week ago. Downstate, where it is often zone 6, is another two weeks ahead of me....See MoreAre these zone 5 hardy - anyone growing them in zone 5?
Comments (2)Abies beshanzuensis - not in cultivation; likely zone 7 Abies squamata (Flaky Fir) - zone 5/6, but needs cool summers Calocedrus macrolepis - zone 8/9 Cupressus x arilosa ÂPendula - an invalid synonym of C. x notabilis (C. glabra x C. nootkatensis); probably zone 6 Cupressus glabra ÂGolden Pyramid - probably zone 6/7 Picea shirasawae ÂAlpine Blue - yes, should be zone 5, maybe 4 Pseudotsuga japonica - zone 7, possibly 6 Pseudotsuga gaussenii = P. sinensis var. gausenii - zone 7 or 8 Resin...See MoreDoes you- me passion hydrangea grow in my zone

Comments (23)Hi Zesty - "Live Life Zestfully" I agree completely!!! I invested on my 5y/o grand daughter's joy, at the sight of a 5ft fully bloomed beauty of a Kyushu tree ... "She looks like a Princess, Mimi, I just have to have her!" Home, we came with our 'Princess Kyu' & never a moment's regret - May 2006! She danced like a graceful ballerina during a tornado grade storm - Jun 2007, survived a heavy ice-storm topped with heavy snow this past Winter (keeled over 45 deg. yanked back into place with straps & stake). Now, she is still her petite 5'2" & fast leafing out!!! Not a 'Splashy Big Daddy' but a zesty Princess that has not failed to fetch "wows" from walkers-by!!! Try Forever & Ever ... IMO, an improvement on ES ... are quite reliable bloomers w/heftier canes for our testy zone! ES & Big Daddy Hs are all over the place here ... I'd rather have Lace Caps & Paniculatas!...See Moreego45
