Lesser Celandine is starting to pop up above ground in various places. Literature suggests spraying it with herbicide whenever temps are above 50 degrees F. Any other suggestions on combatting this nasty?
And as to herbicides, that's not a completely horrible option. The celandine stays green well after other things have gone dormant, so you can spot it and not wipe out neighboring plants. On the other hand, you're about a month late (in my area) for it to be really effective, unless you get a stretch of warm weather.
Dig it up. PLEASE!!! Don't spray horrible poison chemicals on it. It's easily dug up with a trowel or shovel and the bulbs separate very easily from the soil. If you think those chemicals are 'safe', you've been fooled by the petro-chemical industry.
