It's interesting that some products are sold here in the states and nowhere else. I did purchase these air fresheners at Wal-Mart. I haven't actively gone looking ofr them recently though...Bright, I think Photobucket would be the same in posting a thumbnail photo. That is not what I want. I read why shutterfly only has the thumbnails (and mine is the largest of the thumbnail). I had another place I stored photos online and they switched to shutterly. It's taking me a little while to get used to the new site and how to add, alter and link my photos ....I really don't want to mess with it anymore that I do. What I'd really like is to upload them somehow directly from my desk top to the post in a viewable size.... Oh and sweetkountry, those soudn cool. BUT, wouldn't it be time consuming filling all those bottles for those wondeful lil' hummers? Let us know what you finally end up doing with your lil air freshsenre bottles. Kirk, I cannot believe you and Carol---you are bad or good for each other. I think it's great that she has fully thrown herself into this whole junking creativity. Ken, the yellow weeper is 'Boyko's Sundown'. Some are more golden then others, this one I hand picked because it had such great bright splotches. It also seemed fairly narrow which is good considering it's spot! As for the property line, this is probably the best aspect of my piece of earth, it's both vague *and* heavily forested. I am next to a corner lot(their backyard extends to my left side yard) and there is a greenbelt behind me for about 150 yards. It has been designated native habitat by the county and thus without serious zoning changes can never be developed. Most of the large, existing trees on my property are huge already. There are hundreds of doug-firs exceeding 50' and many well over 100' tall with the only thing visible to the gardener or visitor are the elephant trunks shooting upwards. A few of my younger doug-firs out front are about 10-15 years old and still have limbs to the ground. These are what I mean I will slowly trim up, exposing new spaces for conifers that take some shade or part shade. Dougs grow like *crazy* here, so in 15-20 years I'll be surrounded skyward by plants exceeding 150' at which point the only problem will be trees dumping branches and needles in storms and the occasional large tree coming down(a scary thing indeed). Long term, many of the plants that it becomes apparent will be much too big to stay will end up in the local botanical garden which I am helping to design. Almost 100 acres of space, over half undeveloped so there should be plenty of space for these trees to settle in for the long haul. We've worked out a nominal trade/price of about $5 cash/$10 trade per year per plant. Not a lot of money, but that's not the point anyways. Finally, I *welcome* the day I run out of space. It'll be good on my back, budget and nice to know I have a 'complete' garden, with plants that are really nice to have around. Two or three years, I'd guess! -Will

Thanks Christine! I learned how to do the Florida Weave by watching Y-Tube videos myself. But I heard about it on the vegeatable forum, or maybe it was the tomato forum. One of those two. Then I googled, found the videos and knew that I wanted to try it. I love it! Had to do something because I ran out of tomato cages and didn't want to buy more. Rose, I sure am glad I don't have to do all that work of putting in all the daylily beds that are here again. I don't think I have the energy! But I wanted an area for more veggies and really, that spot I moved the roses out of was what I thought up. It is going to look nice when I am done. Well, veggie gardens are not too ornamental but at least they can look neat and I want to grow more veggies than I had room for. I am not afraid to move things around or change things in the garden. I just do whatever suits me. Sometimes I have to move plants compleatly outta here but no worries, I always have pleanty left lol!

Oh my gosh, Pal, how unbelievable that they would chew through that concrete! It makes me shudder just thinking about it. And those being rats, not mice. Thank goodness you knew what to do. Busy: Yellowjackets are scary, as they can be so aggressive. Oakley, I would have done the exact same thing! Mdln: that can is what we used. I bought it at Home Depot for $8.95, which is expensive. I was glad to get something engineered to work for rodents, though, so I wasn't' arguing the price that day (LOL). But, this stuff is injected into holes via a long, plastic tube. It hardens fairly quickly, which is good for the hole, but makes the tube unusable soon after. So, have a game plan before you start and fill everything quickly. Wet paper towels, a sturdy paper plate and a metal spatula to smooth out the foam worked best for us. I had to use Goof Off to get it off of the spatula, though. Tibbie: I'm kind of concerned, as I pick up our new furkid on Wednesday afternoon, which is just 2 days from now. I need to make sure nothing harmful such as mousetraps, etc. (we don't use poisons) are around for him to get into. P.S. I'll try to post pics of my new boy on Thursday.
