Looking for at least 2-3 (up to 9 plants if available) Muhlenbergia capilaris (Pink or Purple Muhly Grass aka- Gulf Muhly Grass) plants in trade for plants or seeds from my trade list. Just a quick note that my seeds have sprouted outside with partial shade. I am so excited! I was running out of sunny areas in the house so gave it a whirl in the 100+ degree heat here. I was too scared not to have some shade, though, and they did come up! They're just starting to come up, so I can't say how many I'll get compared to indoors yet. From what I understand, zones 7 and 8 or higher have no problem growing summer crops in the fall so I also am trying tomatoes. Not a single one has come up yet, but they also hate this high heat. I have some seedlings indoors to transplant if these do not come up. I've had the other tomatoes outside for over a week now, though, and nothing from the outside ones... ugggh ~Angela

I would have been hopping mad, myself... I transplanted a large clump of an unknown (couldn't remember what it was) a bit too close to the pasture fence....well...the next morning, the @%#*@(#!! horses had yanked the whole thing up and it was laying on the ground! I put it in a different spot, hope it comes through the ordeal! I would LOVE to try this one from seed...I know Maiden Grass will do well from seed... Please clip and save me some! I will be updating my list in December (school will be over) and should have some things for you...

Thanks, I've never seen it at Lowes or Home Depot or Target, or for that matter at the bigger nurseries down here. I'll check out big-box stores the next time I'm driving around. I found a few on-line (doing a google search) but they were all the pink variety and I want the purple.
