Hi, bigack. The plant looks like Eupatorium rugosum (White Snakeroot). It's blooming here now too.

Eupatorium! A very nice plant, but a little on the aggressive side.

it flowers late in the year and adds a nice dash of white to the scene. Let it grow

They are growing in abundance now in some of the wooded areas in the suburbs of New York City.
