This is the most activity I had with my milkweeds. My poor little milkweeds got chewed down! That's that point isn't it? My 1st year plants haven't flowered and I guess that means I won't have seed pods either. Katie - This is a great project and very helpful to newbies. Has anyone tried winter sowing a. incarnata? I've done a lot of winter sowing, mostly years ago, and had planned to collect seeds from my three purchased a. incarnata plants and one volunteer. So I should have plenty of seeds and hoped to do a mix of scattering them and winter sowing. It seems like these would be perfect for ws, and terrene, I'm glad to read that it worked well for a. tuberosa, and really glad to read that the monarchs liked the small, new plants so much. Also, for anyone who has direct sown these, did you do it in fall or wait until spring?

Hi All ~ I'm up for adoption, especially by someone who has white milkweed (A. variegata? Any others?) I know it's very late in the season, but I've been reading/donating on Monarch websites, and one thing led to another... I'm in zone 5 (5b, I think), and a newbie when it comes to milkweed.
