Anyone ordered any rhizomes that have bloomed?
Comments (4)The bloom stalks you are currently enjoying in those new additions were actually set in the garden of origin. That would not be considered rebloom, since the plants did not bloom this spring in your own garden. What you're seeing now is just a delightful bonus. If they should bloom in spring and again later in the season next year, you can consider it rebloom. Laurie...See MoreHas Anyone Had Any Luck With Mail Order Plants?
Comments (13)I buy almost all of my plant material online and have for about 4 years. I just changed bulb vendors - I used to buy where I got the best $$$ because to me, bulbs tend to be more of an annual than perennial. If I leave them to over winter they either drown in our wet winters or get eaten by furry mammals that don't belong to me. If they don't over winter, I may use them again or I may forget where I left them...didn't say I was bright! Anyway, I have a new attitude since I bought bulbs from easytogrowbulbs.com. They are so supportive! I bought the largest Dahilia tubers I've ever seen last year and you can bet I remembered where I put them! They were healthy and gorgeous and I can't wait to see what I buy this year from them!! Roses, which are my favorite, come primarily from chambleeroses.com or antiqueroseemporium.com and perennials from paradisegarden.com or wayside gardens. I'm also going to try Steambank gardens this year because they are 100% organic. I'm not sure I'm going to continue with Wayside. In the past they've been great but I was pretty disappointed in the sizes offered and the quality of plants rec'd this year....See MoreMeganite countertops....has anyone had any experience with them?
Comments (1)I did a google search "meganite review" and this complaint board popped up. It doen't sound like most of the folks liked it very much, claiming it scratched and marked easily. I found very , very limited info about this product on the web at all. Personally, I would not try a product that seems to have a very limited track record. Here is a link that might be useful: meganite reviews...See MoreHas anyone had success growing cuttings from lemon trees? any advice?
Comments (25)I think that getting a grafted tree is much better even if it is container grown. I would look for a tree grafted to a rootstock that boasted resistance to wet feet and root rot problems, It is in the winter that many people have their problems with to much/little water. I live in Cincinnati, zone 6, OH and my best 2 trees are in ground planted. My best on put on 60-80 feet of twig growth between October 2014 and May 2015. These trees are under glass in winter...See Morediggerdee zone 6 CT
