1. i have been wondering for years what this lily is. there were old houses in the area, so i don't know if they were planted. they never multiply. there have been only 2 for 6 years. unfortunately, i forgot my camera while it was blooming. the petals are red and curved like turks cap types. i have cropped and you can see the bloom stalks in the pic. it is about 3-4' tall.

2. this pic is probably too blurry but i will try anyway. oh, both this and above are in a full sun meadow type. it has the purple blooms that are very small. plant is no more than 2' tall, but the soil is poor.

3. this one is growing in the rocks along the creek. purple flowers. lobelia? monkey flower?

there is another that i thought was monkey flower but has very fine foliage. it hasn't bloomed yet. or, i am remembering incorrectly. i need to refer back to my field guide.

thanks!
