I went up a mountain on one of the Gulf Islands (Salt Spring Island) in BC, and I saw this small (about 8" to 12"), lanky (definitely not showy foliage-wise) plant with very tiny (about 1/16") flowers, true blue on the lower half, and white on the upper. It appears to be a member of the scrophulariaceae (foxglove, monkey flower) family, and it grows under a rather heavy canopy of evergreens, although the area would get a bit of sun, as the area I found it in is near the edge of a cliff, facing South. I love blue plants, so something like this would certainly get my attention in the native plant books, but I don't remember seeing anything like it anywhere. Can anyone identify it?
