maintaining a wildflower planting

Hi I'm in north Mississippi and the county gave free wildflower seeds. Last fall I cleared an area, a large circle in back yard (18 ft diameter?). I seeded the area in sections with tickseed, black eyed susan, sage, and rose mallow (possibly others) in sections. I tamped this down as directed. It rained hard in fall and winter and I think moved the seeds around or washed them out. Right now, the tickseed is really up and running and flowering. There are a few b.e. susans, not sure if the others will come. How do I manage this area? Do I just let it go to seed, do I mow it? Do I have to get more seed and re-do in fall? any suggestions would help. thanks.
