First - a funny or nightmare - garlic mustard in woodland area!!

Hi everyone. I'm currently in the process of clearing out the wooded area of our property - I'd guess it's about 1/3 of an acre. MY EXCUSE: 6 years ago we bought a Victorian house in the country w/mountain views and about 1 1/2 acres. It was just almost completely gutted (except for all the wood work - located in various locales - but all pulled off) - some rooms down to lathe, etc. When I turned my attention to the gardens - where there are tons of perrenials, I didn't know what was weed or what was keeper! My first challenge was dealing w/an infestation of Jerusalem artichoke - killing alliums, a native or species rose, poppies, etc. - took me 3 yrs and still this year some of their nasty little heads are popping up! This spring, I looked at the wooded part and thought "What the %$&&%?" It's amazing, I never really noticed these before! They've taken over. I do know that there are Jacks, Celadine poppies, wild leeks, trout lillies in there - trying their hardest to survive!

Anyway, I thought you guys would get a kick out of this mess!

PS - I'm posting this exact message on several related boards - sorry if you guys get redundancy!
