Identify Wildflower

Could you help me identify this flower. It bloomed in late April in W Mass. Three leaves come from the single node and the flower rises from the center of the three. The best leaf form is at about thirty five past the hour or int he bottom RH corner of the picture.

It's called Grecian Windflower, or just Windflower. Were there any other colors besides the blue ones? I've seen them bloom in pink, white, yellow and lavender too. They grow from a small bulb, similar in size to grape hyacinth.

I happen to like Digitalis grandiflora which is a true perennial while many other Digitalis species are not. For example, Digitalis purpurea is biennial. The flower color of Digitalis grandiflora blends with any color. It's a great plant and you will find it in many of the finest gardens.
