Rough avens. Geum laciniatum. A weed. I pull them on sight, because they develop an annoying burr-like fruit that contains "sticktight" seeds that cling to clothing and get stuck in dog fur.

If you bought the canned or whatever they are "wildflowers", you really have to be careful. Their idea of what's a wildflower and what's truly a wildflower are vastly different. I've heard of people spreading the seed and Queen Ann's Lace coming up! You don't want that! You're better off searching what wildflowers, or maybe native plants? grow in your area, and take it from there. I don't see your zone or area listed...that's helpful when asking for help in gardening. I'm also saying this because I don't know if you're trying to attract butterflies? Butterflies and then a lot of plants have wonderful seed heads that birds then eat? I don't know what you're doing....lol :)
