finchelover, when they reseed, they aren't true to seed. I have the native one and I've read if my neighbor decided to plant a hybrid, they would cross pollinate and the seed mine would produce wouldn't be of the native anymore. And hers wouldn't be whatever hybrid she planted. It would be new mix. I don't pretend to understand it all...lol...
