Eastern Native Rock Plants

In the past couple years, I've gotten more interested in rock garden plants, especially after a trip to Alaska.

Well, imagine my suprise to find out that there are all sorts of alpines and rock plants native to the southeast, but basically no one sells most of them them.

If there are people out there who own eastern native plant nurseries then I think it'd be a great new niche to explore especially with the increase in interest in green roofs for urban areas. Of course, if there are also people out there who already grow any of these plants then please let me know and I'll be willing to buy/trade for them.

Anyway, heres my list of relatively unused native eastern plants for a rock garden. Let me know if I missed any good ones:

Sedum pulchellum

Sedum smallii (Diamorpha smallii)

Sedum nevii

Sedum glaucophyllum*

Hylotelephium telephioides, Alegheny stonecrop

Cumberland Rosemary*

Minuartia patula, Sandwort

Minuartia michauxii

Minuartia glabra

Minuartia caroliniana

Selaginella rupestris

Iris verna*

Pedicularis canadensis, Lousewort*

Leiophyllum buxifolium, Sand Myrtle

Hudsonia ericoides, Golden Heather

Hudsonia montana

*I already have these.
