Jen, I can send cuttings of the plum. I have not tried to root them and was wondering if you had. I might try to root the Guthrie after it leafs out more. I can also send a bulb of the Eucommis. You can propagate Eucommis by carefully pulling a leaf off and planting the base of it in a small container of good potting soil. The leaf will gradually produce 2 small bulblets by the end of summer. I think Chickasaw Plums require 2 different plants to pollinate before they can fruit. The Indians had hundreds of cultivars, probably lost now. Does Cerinthe major grow easily for you? Mine keep dying. Mexican Petunia, dwarf pink is one I don't have. I'm waiting to see if Mirabilis longiflora comes back. It has smaller but very long stemmed white flowers with a fragrance similar to M.jalapa. I can swap you for a seed or two of Senna didymobotrya. I have Cassia or Senna hebecarpa, similar to C. marylandica. Have Salvia leucantha- Velvet Sage in two varieties. We may get seed of Sinocalycanthus this year. It had a few pods last year. Mike

Would like to trade for a pound of your Apios americana but also wondered, is there also a possibility that you would sell me some extra if I cannot find 2 dozen of the burdickii? Pretty sure I will have 2 dozen for you and Jesse to trade but just in case. Hi Karyn, I would like to trade for a ground nut tuber (or two if they're not certain to survive transplant.) Would you be interested in Freesia, or daffodil bulbs? I have also ordered spicebush seeds and beebalm seeds (but they haven't arrived yet). I think I have irises growing in my yard, also. (I just got the house and the irises haven't bloomed yet, so I'm not sure what type they are.) Also, I'm a relatively new gardener, so if you are interested at all, you might have to instruct me in how best to prepare the plants for transplant. (I know this is the plant trading forum, but I figure tubers are more like bulbs. Please let me know if I'm wrong in that assumption.)

Hello Karyn, do you still have any Apios americana? Where did you get them from originally? I'm trying to find this species because I think it would do very well in my area (southern BC by the coast), my backyard has a bit of full sun that I use for tomatoes, peppers, and corn mostly and lots of semi-shade that I think would suit groundnut just fine. I've read about the Louisiana State University domestication program that was running in the 1980s through '90s and as far as I can tell Oikos and Cultivariable may be the only businesses still raising the improved varieties created by that program. It would be heartbreaking to lose them for good.
