Hi Bob, I am a bit of a newbie to gardening, but am in the habit of measuring germination rates. I homeschool my kids and this would be a really cool science experiment. We are also in the process of starting a new garden so this would be really interesting for us. So, if you don't have three people already I would be interested.

It's not going to be warm enough at night yet (or even during the day for that matter if your weather is like mine.) You should put it in a south-facing window or south-western. Watch the temps in there after they germinate. You might not need the cover if the sun is beating down on it.

Hi Carol, I'm still interested in seeds if you have any this year. Some of my other kinds of rain lilies are starting to bloom, so thought I'd see if yours are too. I collected some gladiolus dalenii seeds this week i could send you in trade. Also, I have lots of things that could be propagated form cuttings, anything in particular on your wish list? If anyone else has habranthus robustus or habranthus brachyandrus seed to share, I'd love to hear from you. Angela

I didn't order anything from Shumway this year, but did last year and my free packet said the same thing. We planted some of them and they were quite prolific but terribly prone to BER. The ones we did harvest tasted pretty good, though. We actually have a couple plants again this year from last year's seed. Oh, and even though the packet said "Determinate" they lasted until frost got them just like my Indeterminates. Edie
