Yes, you can come if you don't have any plants.

1. Post a list of the plants you want, ideally with Latin names to avoid confusion and cultivar names if they have them, and you know what they are.

2. Read other people's lists. If you see things you want and would like to swap or trade for, e-mail the person to arrange it.

3. Do NOT arrange the swap or trade on this thread.

4. Do NOT post a list of plants that you HAVE for swapping or trading on this list. There is a separate HAVE thread for this purpose.

5. Do NOT discuss who will be bringing what kind of Bavarian apple tart or other food to the swap. There is a separate HAVE thread for food.

e.g. irises, columbines, shasta daisy (kind that blooms in the spring), bleeding heart (especially alba), brunnera etc.

As usual,I would love to have more iris any kind/color and any lillies other than the common orange ones.

Here are my wants:

Crape Myrtle - any as long as it grows over 6 feet
Camellia - hardy, tall, and shade tolerant
Swiss Stone Pines
Needle Palm (or other really hardy palm)
Hazelnut/Filbert Trees - which won't grow over about 10 feet
Self-polinating dwarf (not over 10 feet) fruit trees
Lilac - (one which will grow at least 7 feet tall with a great smell)

Fruit:
Passion flower - Maypop, Incense or other zone 7a hardy
Hardy Banana
Any berries

Flowers/Plants:
Hydrangea (for shade)
Ferns
Agave (zone 7 hardy)
Pink Lavender
White Lavender
Hardy Cactus (zone 7)

I'm still working on the new gardens, and will be expanding a couple of the established areas.

As Christine knows, I'm really not picky about color, I just want plants that will grow and blossom, or that have pretty foliage.

- Marigold seeds (any kind/color, they're great under the climbers on the chainlink fence!)

- Any low-growing nandina.

- Anything knee height-ish that will take full sun. (annuals or perennials, doesn't really matter)

- Anything that takes part shade that will climb but not go crazy (I don't want to have to chase it up the power pole or onto the neighbor's shed).

- And until such time as the yard runneth over, if you've got extras and they're not thugs/hooligans or super finicky, I'll take 'em.

I'm making new gardens, so my want list is longer than my have list. I do have a bounteous seed collection and am willing to trade for seeds or grow plants from the seed box to deliver at the spring swap. Thanks!

Bamboo - Large enough for crafts and light construction (fences, trellises, etc), Fargesia or other clumping type only. Or I'll take harvested culms in lieu of live plants.

Blueberries - any kind that will tolerate some drought.

herbs/vegetables:

any kind of mint, sage, rosemary, lavender, and thyme.
any kind of perennial edible Alliums: leeks, shallots, chives, garlic chives, garlic, multiplier onions

Worms! If anyone has some red wrigglers to spare I'd love some for my compost pile!
