Do you, by any chance, know the botanical name for these lilies? It might be on the tag that came with them, or listed in the catalog from which you ordered them. Maybe you could post a link where they are advertised on the internet and someone could i.d. them from a picture. Without this, no one is going to be much help to you. Alina is right. There are companies that seem to make up new names for old plants just so they can market them as new. I am always extremely cautious about ordering anything from anywhere that does not list horticultural names of their plants. Just as a side note, lilies (asiatics, oriental, martagon, orienpets, etc., etc.) are notoriously difficult to grow in the south. (Difficult, not impossible.) On the other hand, lots of things look like lilies that aren't true lilies: crinums and amaryllis, for instance. And then again, there are plants that are commonly called lilies that are not lilies at all: daylilies (hemerocallis) and rain lilies (zephyranthes), for example. To have a chance at success, you need a correct identification of your bulb and as much cultural information as possible.

I have a stargazer lily. I moved it to several locations and it never did much of anything, before I put it on the south side of my house. It loves it there, It may not flower for a year or 2 but it will flower. I'd post a picture of mine but I don't know how it's done on this site. There is no place to add attachments

Still an excellent time to plant lilies. Lily bulbs come with live roots on them and you don't want those to dry out and die, so don't leave the bulbs sitting around in dry air. Plant them, give them some water but don't waterlog, and perhaps give them a cover of mulch for extra winter protection of the newly-planted bulbs. They will probably perform so-so next year, and should do much better in following years.

You can plant them any time if the ground is not frozen. However, long storing is not good for lily bulbs. They get dehydrated and weak.
