My brown bunch & purple hull pinkeye cowpeas-todate-question

I am so happy. This is the first year I have grown d.r. mayo brown bunch and purple hull pinkeye cow peas. I planted them on July 4th and they have done really well even with the drought we're having. I've not had any bug problems with either.

I've got beans almost ready to pick. Can't wait.

The peas are coming along very well also. The blooms are yellow then when open they are a light pink with a yellow center. Very pretty. The peas are in early dev. stages but some are already 2-3 inches long and purple. They are very pretty. I had to look up pictures of them because I didn't know what the pods looked like in early stages and wasn't sure what those purple stick like things were hahaha.

With these peas, I am assuming that they are left to hang until the pods are dried and then picked and shelled?

Thanks, Just had to share :)
