Hey everyone, Uploading photos below. You'll see through-shots of the three rooms in question: a living room (near the far window/wall), a sort of foyer area (in the middle of the two other rooms), and the dining room. The dining room currently has no light. Just wires hanging out the wall. The medallions in question are in the living room and foyer/entry area. They are the same medallion. They have the same lamp--though it's hung at different heights. We bought the house that way and just haven't had time or energy to toggle the base of the lamps as we've been setting up other things. My questions for the Houzz community: --Do we want/need to have a third medallion that matches in the dining room--or should the dining room medallion be "matched" instead to whatever light we put under it? --Should medallions technically only be paired with chandeliers and pendants? Would it be crazy to put some sort of flush mount on a medallion? (I've included an illustrative photo of the kind of flush mount we'd considered at the end of the list.) If there are roots exposed they are too shallow. Replant them. The problem with just adding the soil to the top is that it will often just wash away again. You need to dig them out and make the holes deeper so all the roots are below grade level.

recorderas- It feels different from a regular drill, but there's simply a noticeable vibration from the hammering...it doesn't jump around like a mini-jackhammer. I've found the handle mainly useful when drilling into hard concrete and it's easier to maintain the drill orientation with one hand on the drill and one on the handle, rather than both hands on the drill since it takes a bit longer to drill into concrete/masonry.

Anything can be cut, with the right tools and the ability to use them. Measure twice, cut once. It may not be square, so it would be smart to do a template before cutting.
