Zone 7 North central Texas. Feedback (super) Harvest of Memories(very reliable) Lady Essex (very reliable).Barn Dance (second year: really rebloomed well last year. Over and Over (new last fall) 5 rebloom stalks this year so far. Have several others new ones from last fall but no rebloom yet. oh, one other: I think the name of it was Return to Mulberry.

Could the last one above be Return to Bayberry?

I just ordered it but didn't know it rebloomed.

My first bloom was Crimson King this year, which was in March, and it just had blooms on it again just two weeks ago. I was mildly surprised, but pleased. I guess you can consider that a rebloomer ;).

EArl of Essex is my reliable rebloomer, it never fails. Feedback & Harvest of Memories are almost as reliable. I have Duke of Earl & didn't even know it was a rebloomer, it has never rebloomed for me. But then, neither has Immortality. On another note, Beverly Sills has rebloomed for me the last 2 years, & I don't remember it being labeled rebloomer when I bought it.

Ben Hagers Fall Rerun is reliable in my garden and so is Champagne Elegance. I purposely avoid rebloomers as a rule though. Those two must have been bonus iris.

Why do you avoid rebloomers, GMason?

Because 1 Iris in the fall is to me like football in the spring.
2 More importantly I am sick of seeing bloom stalks in November that never quite bloom and then seeing maybe 1 bloomstalk in the spring because the clump put up so many frozen stalks in November.
3 I have seen very few good rebloomers in comparison with the Spring bloomers.
4 I am limited on space and given the choice between my dahlia's putting on a perpetual show of color and a 3 days max iris in August I will take the Dahlia's and the Glads.

Oh, I see. Thanks. A good warning for me. I am looking at irises because of the deer. It is my first year of planting irises and they were so beautiful and the deer did not touch them. But now of course there are all these ugly remnants... So I was thinking that I should get reblooming irises, particularly dwarf reblooming irises, so that they give me another show...but if it only lasts for 3 days, it may be not worth it!

Many last much more than 3 days. Some bloom in zone 7 until the freeze gets them. From what I have read on this forum some parts of California are ideal for rebloomers. Lee Mincy

elenalev you can grow rebloomers easily in carmel valley. i am in vacaville and have them reblooming all summer, sometimes thru jan even. they last weeks here too. give them a try, you will be thrilled on your sunny hill. i lived in carmel for many years, the valleys warm sun is perfect for them. what sunset zone are you?
george if it was rebloomers or dahlias, dahlias hands down! i have a 50' border going full throttle that just knocks my socks off. i could sit and stare at them 24/7, i ADORE DAHLIAS!

I want to thank everybody for their responses. Last year I planted Jennifer Rebecca and Pink Attraction irises on the west side of my house with some climbing roses. This spring they have been nothing but spectacular.

Clarence and Immortality have not bloomed. I should mention that I planted them on the east side of my house in unamended heavy clay soil, which might be what is affecting their performance. The irises on the west side were planted in raised flower beds where the soil has been replaced down to a depth of 4.5 feet.

BTW, don't be surprised if you see a lot of folks from the Antique Roses Forum stopping by. I think they might be very interested in these rebloomers.

"Autumn Circus" it even survived a move twice in one year! And is going to bloom soon!

It's not uncommon for new iris not to bloom the first year they're in the ground. They'll probably bloom next year.

I ordered more than 20 new iris last year and I was pleasantly surprised when many of them bloomed this year -- at 2/3rds. I wasn't expecting that many to bloom.

I would like to add Irises to my garden, but all I tried very few bloom. Make a nice plant and every now and again bloom. Sandy soil

Time for a reblooming iris report.

In zone 6b Maryland

CLARENCE died of rot. My fault. I planted him too deep in unamended clay soil. Note to newbies. When "they" say to plant these things near the soil surface what they mean is at the surface with the white part at the bottom of the stems showing. Live and learn.

IMMORTALITY had a profuse autumn bloom. Nice clean white color, pretty flower and wonderful sweet fragrance. If you want a white iris then this is the one to get.

Neither JENNIFER REBECCA or PINK ATTRACTION have ever rebloomed. It really doesn't matter with Jennifer Rebecca because she is so beautiful that I'm going to continue to grow her no matter what. GORGEOUS flower! Not true pink but more like a purply-pink. POWERFUL fragrance. Large buxom bloom, strong stem/stalk, and pretty foliage. A keeper. Pink Attraction gets pulled out. The color is more coral beige than pink and looks like dead flesh. Yuck!

Next spring I'd like to try: Clarence, Beverly Sills, Earl of Essex, Harvest of Memories, Late Lilac, and Sugar Blues. Lets keep the suggestions coming.

BTW, I love irises!
