Best beans form extreme heat and dryness

Hi all! I am planting yard-long/asparagus beans this summer because they are supposed to do well here in the extreme heat. Are there any others I should try? My county extension has a short list of recommended varieties (the most readily available on that list is Blue Lake) but all the beans listed are bush beans. Does that mean that pole beans don't do as well in the extreme heat? Also, all my info tells me to rotate my crops and not plant beans in the same spot two years in a row, but I have a great (permanent) trellis setup. Do you all rotate?
