Hi, I LOVE Behr "Porpoise" in flat! This is a grey with a purple undertone. While the two lighter colors in the swatch show as a grey with purple undertones the mid/darker Porpoise just looks like a happy sltylish grey grey. I just painted son's living room in this color and every single person who has come in has made nice comments about it.

The 2nd pic, the half wall is a different paint color. This paint is a full spectrum paint so it has about 8 pigments. Paint reflects the objects nearby. I have a lot of brown stuff as you can see. Ellen has several other colors that might be the shade you want plus you can get custom colors made. I have a cat that is a taupe color - she seems gray in some light and brownish in others. Her sister is more gray than brown.

My favorite is Edgecomb Grey. I painted both of my children's room's this color. It looks fab with pink accents and black furniture in my daughter's room, and equally terrific with navy and red in my son's room. Also love Stonington Grey, which is in my bedroom. Grey Wisp is another great color. Have it in the office and powder room. Hmmm...i think I like grey! Just realized that every room that I've painted in this house has been some shade of grey.! Kitchen is next. On the table is revere pewter and Harbor Grey. Of course.

Quiet Moments is way too toothpaste minty fresh for me. I've used those same words to describe the light blue-greens I sampled in my bathroom. Colgate colors! They look nice in those white coastal baths but they are very minty otherwise. I also found that some of the paints with silver in the name have a slight lavender undertone, which you can see when you add accessories in a blue without undertones. I think it may be safer to start with a paint that looks like a true gray, where the undertones aren't obvious when comparing paint chips at the store. The undertones that you can't see on the chip will appear when it's on the wall.
