How do you protect hydrangea from Deer?

I'm curious if anyone here has deer competing for their hydrangea. I have several varieties planted in May in my front yard (Mathilda Gutges, Angel Song, Glowing Embers, Endless Summer, and another whose name escapes me). I'm starting to pull my hair out over the munchies of my friendly neighborhood deer. I considered them to be a safe plant because so many of my neighbors have big, beautiful, un-munched hydrangea. Mine seem to be attracting deer, who are enjoying the very expensive salads I planted for them. :(

Wondering if anyone has any practical advice? Do I give up and move them all? I really wanted them in my front yard!
