Full StoryI think it was at the MyHostas.be website that I read about hypoleuca being the most commercially important hosta of all time....or that is how I recall it. Which was one reason I wanted to have one of the hypoleucas in my garden.
I now have it, it looks like an average sort of hosta to me, but it is a hosta with greatness thrust upon it.
Also, I'm curious about Foxy Doxy in the lineage of Arch de Triomphe.....because I noticed how expensive Foxy Doxy is to buy. Why? Is it another great breeder? Is it not just pretty, but it transfers many desirable characteristics to its offspring? The inquiring mind wants to know. Should I just forget about it and leave it to hybridizers?
