I can't off the top of my head, but near the end of the blooming season for my area I always visit the local botanical gardens and take note of what is blooming late for them.

It's a great way to find late bloomers in your area.

Well, for me, the season is nearly done. I still have a handful that haven't opened up their first bloom yet, and some that still have the last buds in the sockets finishing up. But generally they're done by the end of May. However, last yr I had one that was a new one in a pot that bloomed thru the first week of June! What a beauty too! Not sure if it will do it this yr or not, but it could next yr.

I don't much like it, it's not pretty, it's not prolific, but it IS last. So it gets to stay.

Zandria is near the last and is flashy with its peach and purple coloration. I would try that one.

I have an iris that is not Rebecca Parrot (I don't think) but looks like Rebecca, and it's lovely and strong bloomer and blooms near the last. Wish I knew exactly which one it is.

Detroit City...a nice spaceage that had two show stalks opened yesterday. It had all of its appendages, too.

Still have lots of LAs in bloom plus many JIs that are not even showing color yet.

Have always been some of the latter ones in my garden.

I keep track of when they first bloom each year and have a several year history of such.

Ruth in SW Michigan where blooming time is just starting.

I don't know how late-blooming it is considered to be, but Painted Pictures is usually last in my garden.

For me this year, it was "Seakist" from Schreiner's. Just for the record, my earliest every year seems to be "Jesse's Song"

Viola - I am also from CT, and I have yet to have a bloom unfurl :) In fact I will miss a few while on vacation over memorial day :(

Anyway I can tell you that I have a few that are just starting to but up bloom stalks, those tend to be last in my garden. I will go home tonight and check the names of them and post back. I have all cooley's iris in that garden.

I will also let you know furthur in to June what is last to bloom. My garden usually blooms from right about now (it's behind this year) till late June.

With the addition of rebloomers in my gardens I came pretty close. I only had 3 months without an iris in bloom last yr. Jan, Feb and July.

Wow littlebit that is amazing! My SDBs are pretty much done and the TBs are still shivering around here. Iris weather is eluding us. I will have to find a good Connecticut rebloomer. (I have a couple that tried too late last year and the frost got them before the buds were big enough to bring in.)

For me, in the TB realm, Fancy Stuff and Opalescent Dream are my two latest bloomers.

Pheasant Feathers, Impressionist, Carnival Ride and Atlanta Belle are the last ones for me this year

Dark Passion, Congo Song and Tender Mercies wrapped up the season for me. I feel SO SAD!

*retracts previous post* Visited the garden today...the last irises in bloom are: Jazz Festival (last bloom), Opalescent Dream (less than 2-3 left) and King Tush (last 7-10) So, the very last thing that will have a bloom in my garden this year for TB's is King Tush...

this is what is still blooming for me here in CT. Granted we had weird weather -COLD and rainy then over night to HOT and dry. I have been watering to extend bloom.

Still blooming are, Proud Tradition, Mother Earth (still has about 8 buds to go), Strike it rich, Lady friend (almost done), Blue notes Blue, Champagne elegance, and 5 others that escape my mind plus about 4 that I don't have an ID for (gifts from friends gardens).

Right now Carnival ride still has not bloomed - has about 5 bloom stalks and should bloom soon. Bold Expression just opened it's first bloom today. Good show should also open today.

This year, Imortality went early for me, as well as lovers charm and one other I can't recall.

Also I have them all planted in full sun :) I think Carnival ride is going ot be my latest bloomer!

Longs Peaks was last preceded by Hi Calypso for tall bearded.

Bubbling Over and Sudden Impact will be finishing off the season here. Always a sad time but then time to divide, plant new ones, move others around, and dream of next spring!

Only 3 still have 1 bloom yet remaining. Honky Tonk Blues, Flaming Star, and Silverado. However, Grand Old Opry was the last to put out it's inital flower.

I think today will be the last day for photographing iris in my garden. Here's what's on today's list: Silver Fizz (which I suspect, based on past year, will be the VERY last one), Keystone Progress, Rumbleseat, Garden Bride (which started fairly early, too), Black Suited, Mary D., Perfect Interlude, Badlands, Kentucky Derby, and Magharee. I know it sounds like a long list for 'lasts', but we had almost a thousand varieties bloom this year, so this really does represent the very end.

Smokin` is down to the last bloom, late bloomer. And I believe that is the very last bearded iris.

Oh . . . I hate this time of the year - no more Irises for 11 months!! (sniff sniff).

My last bud (yet to open) is on Winner's Circle and I have one last bloom on Circus World.

I will miss those lovelies!

Stepping Out is my latest bloomer. Victoria Falls has the longest blooming season in my garden and is a prolific grower.
I am still enjoying the iris show in my Massachusetts garden.

While weeding extra early this morning before heat is too much, I noticed that my FEEDBACK has put up another stalk. Any idea why -- is it a repeat bloomer? It only finished blooming about 8 days ago?

Roni, lucky you! Feedback is a rebloomer. I purchased one last year from Snowpeak but it didn't flower for me yet. I am hoping that since it is a rebloomer, it may decide to flower before the summer is over.

I just thought I would check in with my 2 cents. :)

I've only really delved into the iris world over the last 5 years, but out of my entire collection Amber Tambour had the last bloom yesterday.

finally down to my last bloom :( it was a race between Mother Earth and Carnival Ride - Carnival ride won by one bloom. it opened today.

Time to wait till next year or hope for a fall re-bloom!

When ALL my iris finished blooming this year, I cut the leaves back on most of them because of really bad leaf spot. I cut the leaves back to just a few inches above the rhizome.....really low to the ground to make sure I got all the disease. That was May 28 when I cut them back. Yesterday, I noticed that CLARENCE is putting up buds again, as well as ROSALIE FIGGE. I guess they weren't quite finished.....

The last one to bloom finished to days ago. Surprisingly, it was Ring Around Rosie this year. It is finally a good established clump.

Rosalie Figge is a reliable rebloomer for us and will likely be putting up stalks at the end of next month.

The best rebloomers for us are two IBs, Precious Little Pink and Champagne Encore. These repeat at least three times and can take 2-3 light frosts before calling it quits.

AMBASSADEUR closed out the season here. However, that may be due to the fact that it was a runt who just didn't 'get his act in gear' with the rest of the iris.
Aside from that, it was ALASKAN SUNSET with a fully developed clump and PRINCE of BURGUNDY.
Presby still has a few stragglers, however.
