I didn't know that!

I have made me another iris bed and I was walking around my yard for several colors to add to it.I have been growing iris for many years and I have always pulled the babies off to plant elsewhere.

Anyhow, I pulled a baby yesterday from my carribean dream and I accidently pulled the whole thing. This iris was in full bloom and I went immediately over to my new bed and planted it.I knew the flower would die and I would cut down the stalk.

Well to my suprise when I was walking around this morning. The carribean dream in my new iris bed is still standing tall and is doing great.

I did not know that iris in full bloom could be moved and planted elsewhere.I will try that again.

I know any kind of lilies can be moved in full bloom if dug real deep and I have moved my lilies elsewhere for years. But iris I am suprised but happy to know that!

Is this something new to anyone or is it something I just found out by accident? Have you ever done this?
