Iris cristata won't bloom - help!

marjoriest

We have a woodland garden in zone 7 and we have a large patch of naturalized iris cristata in our back woods. When we moved in 15 years ago they would bloom every spring. No more. I assumed that it is due to the increasing shade so I transplanted some of them into our front yard where there is partial shade. That was two years ago and while they come up each spring there are still no blooms. Any ideas on what is happening or what I can do to facilitate blooming?
