Hydrangea to hide a utility box?

hi,

I am new to gardening. I never had a yard before until I moved to my new house with a very small yard a couple of months ago.

There is a utility bos on the side of the house near the foundation that is visible from the street and I'd like to plant something to hide it. It's about 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

I always love hydrangea and am thinking about planting hydrangea there. It faces east and there is small japanese maple tree not too far from the utility bos, so it's shady although not in full shade.

Do you think hydrangea would work there? If so, what kind of hydrangea would you recommend? Or should I just go with evergreen like my neighbors?

One more thing is my house is gray, so I don't know how blue hydrangea flowers would compliment the house. What do you all think?

Thank you for your advices in advance.
