Unknown mounds in yard (photos included)

I have these mounds in my yard with dime- and penny-size holes. The mounds are baseball and softball size. Some of the mounds are grouped together. The mounds seem to be pretty solid/dense - not like just loose, dug up dirt. When I kick up one of the mounds, it is solid and white underneath, no tunnels. Below are some links to photos of them. Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance!
