Hi Cayden: Here are my pictures. I included my hat for scale. Note that both my Mexican lime and two lemons have survived the past freezes. One effect of the freeze was to return the Variegated Pink Lemon to its original bush form. The years in parenthesis indicate the number of years the tree has been in the ground. A "3 yr" time indicates an original planting. A "2 yr" time indicates that the original tree had to be replaced after the horrible winter of 2011. I am having real issues with grapefruits for some reason (I will post a separate message about that). I also included pictures of my two almond trees (already about 15 feet high) and the pomegranate that is planted in the citrus area. All are on drip irrigation and I am about to change to twice weekly waterings now that the temps are getting consistently over 90 degrees. All right split rock, that's music to my ears. No where is it written that drainage ditches have to be ugly. Just realize that it's most likely an easement and should the city need access you might need to move plants quickly. Bungalow. I think gardening in your area would be ideal. Michigan has beautiful summers but I wish they were longer and more mild. I'm thinking virginia should change their motto to " Virginia is for gardeners". No I don't have a website. I don't advertise at all. I don't even have job pics. The reason I have a few now is that my client was up north when we were working at her site and I wanted to show her the progress. I really should take more pics and then you'd see some really impressive properties! Here's a little water feature I put in for her grand kids to play in. Anything for the grand kids!

Kew does have a 'train' for those who prefer not to walk or experience rainfall - more specifically the 'Kew Explorer' people mover. But if I were you I'd bring a sturdy brolly and poncho and stick it out in the open - you'll soon forget the wet for all the amazing plants. Should conditions really deteriorate the northern end of the park offers denser tree cover. In any case indoors is arguably just as fascinating as outdoors at Kew. If you do get to see behind the scenes, don't get waylaid by mucky horticulturalists or weird herbarium people - the real jewels of Kew are to be found amongst the Jodrell research staff... jokes! :oP

Beautiful gardens and great pictures! The elephant ears are impressive, not what I imagine for a Canadian garden and kind of humbling when I think back to my own struggling plants which the cold has kindly put to rest. Also I'm wondering how I ever agreed to let people tour my own garden last summer. These really put it to shame, even though everyone was so polite about it. LL I forgot if you opened your garden last year. I remember you talking about it and how the 'organizing body' was not quite what it claimed to be, but although I seem to remember it going ok I don't remember pictures.... hint... hint...
