Sorry, no seeds to offer here (I never collected any this yer), but I can say....Yes, you can winter sow hosta seeds. The plants will be relatively small the first year, and number of leaves will vary based on the growth rate. Unlikely that they will be of blooming size the first year. Hope this helps!

Going to have to do something about the reflections off my monitor cannot tell the variegation. Beverly, that Silver Edge really does have an overlay on its center, not simply a reflection? Unique! like an apparition or onionskin over the surface. And SHORT SCAPES....THAT is a huge plus for me. It creates a bouquet with manageable flowers interspersed among the leaves. Love scapes I can get in the same frame as the leaves. Now, here is my Tokudama Flavocircinalis, also young, has been in more shade so it is darker than some other examples. Whether the variegation disappears with deep shade, I do not know. I really like it though. Mine came from Naylor Creek on the west coast.
