Seeking I. balfourii seeds

Hi all...I post mostly on my regional forums for the Pacific Northwest, but am here today to see if anyone has I. balfourii seeds available.

I've traded a number of seeds and cuttings thru other GW forums, so if you let me know your plant interests, I may have seeds to swap with you...a few possibilities are Chilean Glory Vine, Lofospermum or Rhodochiton (Chinese Purple Bells). I can also collect seeds from I. glandulifera. Otherwise, I'd be happy to cover the cost of a bubble envelope & postage.

I'd love to get some I. balfourii established to reseed in my semi-shade garden.

I have some bloodflower butterfly weed (my favorite plant of all!) and some 4 o'clocks (pink, bright yellow, or white) that I can send you. I know the bloodflower will do well in your zone, not sure about the 4 o'clocks. I also have some canna tubers I can send you - I have red leaves/red flowers, and variegated yellow leaves/yellow-orange flowers. Crazy Impatiens balfourii likes to be left out in the cold. It is from the Himalayas and temps in its native habatat get pretty cold. I would put them outside and let them go through a cold spell no need to start new ones. I have some getting ready to flower now, but I live in a Zone 9. Its one of the easiest species to start by seed. I am not sure how cold it will take it but it should take down into the 20s. I would collect seed in the fall and keep them in the fridge until you are sure that they will reseed for you.
