I have a limelight and I love it! They mature around 6-8' wide and 6-8' tall. The flowers are gorgeous. Now with that being said I do not have a Endless Summer, so I cannot really compare them. My mother has an Endless Summer that she loves, but the size of her flowers cannot compare to my limelight. Good luck!

I agree with tsmith, as to amount of direct sunlight an Oakleaf Hydrangea can tolerate. The best blooming / growing cultivars in my garden and throughout the neighborhood, receive full afternoon or all-day sun exposure. Haven't experienced or observed any leaf scorch at all throughout the many years they have been growing. Be sure they receive good drainage, as they absolutely will not tolerate wet feet! Mulch and keep watered for the first couple of years, after the roots become established, you can pretty much ignore them.

You do not say where you live but, if you live in the northern half of the country then the answer is very likely yes. I have a relative who lives in Mass and her Nikko Blue gets a lot of sun from the western side of all places (1-4pm in the summer). It likes it there very much.

Hi Watervillegirl - (By any chance you live in Watervilet, MI?) I too have Pink Elf - I understand to be a French H and may need Winter protection even for your 5b zone. Because she's going to be a petite H she might do better as a container plant that can be easily overwintered in your unheated garage or basement. I originally planted mine in my front foundation bed, gave her a small wire cage filled with mulch she survived but the return of Winter - 2 wks of Apr. '07 froze her back to the ground. She later threw up 2 canes no blooms, last season. I decided to dig her up while still dormant, last Apr. planted her in a container & sunk the container in a hole in a part-shade site - she heard the wake-up call of Mama nature ... is now leafing out.
