Anyone grow Faith, Hope, and/or Charity?

Anyone grow Faith, Hope, and/or Charity? I thought they would go well together. I have Hope (both senses) and Cherish, both minis. Charity seems to be a mini as shown in Hosta Library but the Mydata has no information. Faith is a large, corrugated yellow, highly praised in HL, but I have never seen it. Does anyone grow any of these?

I have Faith in a pot right now, seems to be a good grower thus far. I've only had it since last summer. Starts out green in the spring, but it is getting more gold in color. I had to move it out of the sun, though, as it was getting a little burnt. I also have Hope, and it really hasn't done much at all. It kind of just sits there. Teeny tiny thing, I think it'll be better off in a pot. It's cute, but Cherish has done better for me, and Pandora's Box even better. I think Hope is one of those that needs a special spot to grow well.

I have Pandora's Box' and 'Hope'. Here's a pic of PB. I will try to post a pic 'Hope' which I have relocated. Although charity would seem to be a good companin for the other two, I believe it too big to fit the miniature hosta category as the other two do.

Has anyone in Zone 4 or 5a had success growing Campanula 'Viking'

rouge - "I am sure it was my fault it didn't last" Or not - The alarm was raised for me yesterday when I read an article by Douglas Green ( I have one of his books) stating that if you are in zone 5 C. 'Viking' is not for you (hardiness). Today I cannot find the article - gone like it never existed. Then on Plant Lust (still there today) they said they had one report that it should not be cut back in fall. That raised the alarm again. It is listed as zone 5 with only a couple of places listing it as 4. I absolutely agree most Campanulas are zone 3 or 4 and completely hardy. Campanula - Yes the dreaded C. punctata is in its lineage but it is not supposed to run and the seed is sterile. You certainly could be right and I hope you are about the watering of. All but one site stresses that they want full sun but moist soil which most gardeners find a difficult combo. I love all blue flowers in general and do really like Mertensia. I have not filled my garden with Pulmonaria but I do grow P. 'Mrs. Moon' since in the land of ice and snow I need that super early shot of color. Apologies to you Camp since I believe you find the spotted foliage most offensive lol! Thank you so much both of you for your input. Phew, I do not usually type so much.

I have her trapped in a five gallon can. I use her for breeding as she's reportedly one of Viru's better breeders. She's very healthy, flowers incessantly with fairly large blooms which start out a blush ivory-pink and fade to an ivory white. From what I have heard (and seen from photos), she isn't "small". I'm told to expect 5' - 6' in both directions from her. She is THE cleanest "Tea" in my yard. Alas, there seems to be very little scent, but the blooms are elegant, ever-present and the foliage is spotless here. She's even one of the least affected by western flower thrips of the lightest colored blooms here. Of course, "frosts" very seldom occur here.

I have had Claire for 15 years or so. It has very rangy growth and can get quite tall with long branches. No matter what happens to it--no matter what sort of neglect (new baby, moving...) or poor growing conditions ( heatwaves, dry spells, coldwaves...)--it has just kept going, perhaps at time blooming a bit less (like the year it spent in a rather shady spot but still bloomed nevertheless). It is finally in a spot where it can spread its branches and be as untidy as it wants (I used to try to cut it back to shape it but that really does nothing for it in my opinion), and it has pretty much had blooms on it from spring to December. It didn't bloom in massive flushes, but consistantly and rather continuously. The web site has said that it has a very strong fragrance--and I don't get that from it, although apparently opinions differ on most roses, but it does always have a fragrance--which is quite lovely. It could possibly be trained as a climber. In terms of DA white roses, I also have William & Catherine and that is a much smaller, tidier. It is less fragrant but also rather reliable and sturdy as far as roses go. For Claire, it's good to give it some room, and let it be its wild self, but it it is lovely and pretty much indescructable.

Steve, I have had Faith since last year. I bought another one, since it is a nice golden hosta. Faith is a Large, and I think my first one needs a new pot....it is growing all over itself in that pot this year! The new one is more scantily leafed out, with quite large leaves.

Here's the new Faith with Tortilla Chip for size comparisons.

Here's the old Faith, showing how densely it is filling up its pot this year. This was taken in May, and now in July it has some fading of the gold but not really burned, and it is in a LOT of sun all day, from morning until late afternoon, in zone 9a....a really fine one for locating in the sun.

I thought I had H. Hope, but cannot find it this year. It is a mini, or a small, and they were pretty beat up by squirrels over the winter. So I might have lost it.

I'm currently looking around for information on Charity, also. Which is how I ran across this thread, indexed in my Google search. Will probably get the trio for my garden, and locate the two smalls together, near one big pot of Faith.

Show us what you have, Steve. Did you decide to get any or all of these?

Picked up two Charity this spring as liners - still too small to see much or say much about them.

Like Paul, I got Charity as a liner this spring but expect it to be the size of Lakeside Looking Glass when it matures.
