replace Snow Queen with Tuff Stuff/Tiny Tuff Stuff?

The last two winters have done a number on my 3-year old Snow Queen (H. quercifolia). Last winter: very warm (60 degrees), no snow, then a very late hard freeze -- so no flowers. This winter: temps to -20 at several points, windchill to -30 and below, PLUS rabbits eating the old wood!

I give up on the never-blooming Snow Queen. Given the wildly fluctuating climate, should I consider replacing it with Tuff Stuff or Tiny Tuff Stuff, which blooms on old and new wood? I'm not sure I have room in that spot for the leggy Incrediball (two of which, in my front yard, have handled the insane weather just fine).

Advice appreciated!
