To prune or not to prune, that is the question

Hello hydrangea experts! I have two blue hydrangeas that are awesome! They flop however. It doesn't bother me too much, but don't know if they're better off being pruned at some point. Is it possible to avoid the flopping?

I also have a hydrangea (Lacecap variety I think) that has all this dead looking wood at the top (probably a good foot or more). Can I cut that off? The plant was as tall as all that deadwood last year. I cut it back some in the fall of last year (or was it early spring -- don't remember) but only cut selective branches as I assumed the whole grows from dead wood issue was in play. Anyways, being July, will leaves keep growing up this dead wood? I see one single bloom developing, where it used to have plenty.

I'd greatly appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.
