empty hummingbird feeder a mystery

dweeb

I have gone several days without loosing a drop of hummingbird nectar from our feeder but most every morning I look out my window and it is totally drained. It is making a terrible sticky mess on our bottom deck because it is being spilled out. We do live on a lake but the feeder is two stories up hanging on a metal plant hanger on a vertical beam off our porch so it would be very dicy for a raccoon to get to. It never disappears in the daylight hours, only at night. I suppose the only thing I can do is bring the feeder in every evening and put it back out in the morning! UGH! Have tried securing with twine, to the railing and posts to no avail. Any other ideas?
