So far, I think I love my Chelsea best. She's actually growing loads of new leaves and seems to love my NW window! :D I received a double yellow Datura and have been fighting buggies off that thing, it's currently been kicked out the door! lol I've seeds for a double yellow Datura and may just let that one stay outside all winter and see how it does. If it dies, I'll restart with seeds. I'm not in the mood for those little flying bugs.

Currently coping with rooting Brugmansia's and getting everything outside prepped for winter. Other than that, it's all good. :)

I was trying to think of the new Hoyas I have gotten this year and what are my favorites, not an easy thing to narrow down until some start to grow and show their true colours.

If I had to choose my new favorites I would have to say.

Hoya sp Kunming Kina

Hoya sp Flores Island

I really like Hoya obtusifolia although if it turns out to be as huge as my Hoya imperalis or as fast a grower I am in big trouble. My Hoya imperalis could easily take over the entire window.
I also finally got my hands on Hoya grifithii which I have wanted for quite some time.

I am still waiting on my cuttings from Iris Marie Liddle and another set from Aleya's Garden but for the time being they are being kept by a friend until they can come visit. There may very well be a new favorite amongst those cuttings.

Mike, I hope your cuttings from Iris Marie and Aleya Gardens arrive soon! There's always a treasure or two or three in every trade/order that I get whether it be seeds or plants! And yes, I'll try to keep smiling! I'll be going to Lowe's and Home Depot tomorrow so that'll cheer me up a little. Plus, I'll be getting my two copies of the Codename: Sailor V and Sailor Moon mangas while I'm up there in the area (there's a Barnes and Noble there). I'll post pictures of any plants that I get, the books and my crowning achievement, my Halloween costume!

My two favorites were a cutting of numm.... and finlaysonii, that I received last spring.

Mainly because the finlaysonii bloomed this summer, and the numm.... has 5 penduncles budding up now.

So they both were fast producers lol

Let's see, I got a lot of new plants this year...

H. australis ssp. australis and ssp. melanesica are both growing like weeds, so I am very fond of them already.

Numm, square leaf, and Iris Marie are also really awesome. Square leaf- sorry, rotundiflora, and Iris Marie have been on my list for a couple of years.

I saw some gorgeous full plants of variegated kerrii for sale at a local nursery for $20 so I'm trying to make it back there soon.

In non-Hoya news, I love my Desert Rose and newest Jade plant too!

Square leaf is very sweet (is that rotundiflora or rotundifolia? Seriously, I don't know). The nicest little square leaves, and a bright apple green.

Pimenteliana has the most elegant leaves and that shimmer! Very subtle so far as my plant is young, but I suspect that will enhance as it takes off.

Diptera for just being so, so, so ready to please (gotta watch that girl). What a pretty, happy little plant.

Moonwolf: not too sure of the situation, but make sure you get lots of outdoor time. The light levels are way better outside for when things get challenging and our emotional resiliency is low.

Oooh! Looks like everyone's plants are doing well! lol I forgot about H. rotundiflora being on my wish list! I just LOVE those flowers that it produces!

Klyde, thank you! I'm not sure if it's rotundiflora or rotundifolia? Mike might know though. I'll try to get outdoors as much as possible. I usually go on walks and things and that helps clear my head a little. Plus anytime I work with my plants, indoors or out, that puts me in a good mood. The weather's supposed to be nice this weekend so maybe I'll put up the spider webs for Halloween too :).

I assume it is rotundiflora since the "flora" parts are round but the "folia" parts are not. I could be wrong, but IMO it would be a non-sequiter to name a square leafed plant "round leaf". Like Brad said, Mike will probably come along and let us know for sure.

According to Joni's web site, SRQ hoya. it's H. rotundiflora.

I think that means "Fat Flower". LOL... I liked the name better when it was sp. square leaf. Ha.

Oo My wishlist Hoya is Chicken Farm! LoL

That's one I really want to get...

I couldn't pick any specific one as a favorite really, there's always something about each and every one I love. =) I know, I know... Besides, I just bought a new one today! Loaded with blooms! So who can pick just one? I know I can't! Heh!
