H. pubicalyx 'Black Dragon' and 'White Dragon'
Comments (12)Quinn, I bet it would look great planted in the same pot. Why not they are both the same variety just different color blooms. I think it would look really cool to have two different color blooms in one pot. I'm for anything that can eliminate another pot and save space. I've planted KQ and KP together and plan on potting up Var. bella with regular bella. As long as the requirements of the plants are the same and they are in the same family I don't see any issues with it...but that's just my opinion. They both are really beautiful!! Whoever gets one...Please post pictures here!...See MoreH. pubicalyx 'dragons' forest treasures....
Comments (4)i got the 2 dragons and they were in excellent condition! i agree with you David...You would never guess they remained in "custody" for so long! They were very fresh.....Just hoping they make the transcontinental transition well! That cotton was tricky....I didn't think it would be so difficult to remove...I think I lost a root or two...but they seem happy in their new pots...I did soak them overnight in water before potting them....I think they apprecited it....See MoreBlack Dragon Coleus
Comments (2)Wait until weather is cooler. Reputable sellers won’t ship when temperature are this high. It has been over 90 for more than a week in the NE US. Why are you reluctant to try from seed? Have you tried looking at local nurseries?...See MoreBlack Dragons & Wizards?! Oh My!!
Comments (7)I've seen Coleus my whole life, I just never grown any. When I came across the 'Black Dragon' variety, I just had to have them. I loved the dark purple foliage. The other varieties were just labeled as 'Wizard Mix.' I have no experience with growing them, but I had them sitting in full, direct sunlight all day long, and they didn't seem to care one bit. But now I have their planter mounted on my windowsill, they only get direct sunlight early in the morning, and late in the evening. They appear to be holding their color well. I just watered them and noticed them trying to bloom, so I pinched them back. The bright green one, I added to the planter about a week later. I'm glad that I did, because the contrasting colors really make the red and purple stand out much more....See Moresummersunlight
