Hello all! So sorry, I didn't get on computer for quite a while and just posted again last week on Facebook. Made my arms hurt to much to type. I am doing well according to drs. Will be 4 weeks on Thursday. Took both breasts and muscle in areas. Just got staples and drains out on Monday. But all in all I am doing well. Walk the yard daily, when not raining. Able to go out and to store (when someone gets the stuff for me). I have been cheating this week and planting a few seeds here and there in a few pots. But granson fills them and moves them for me. Might be a little late in year, but makes me feel good. My dgt. did plant all my wintersown items that came up! I don't believe I would have done so many if had known in March that I was going to be diagnosed with cancer! They won't let me do reconstruction for at least a year, and maybe not then. But I am just thrilled I am alive, so will be padded forever I suppose! LOL! Actually, I am going to be fitted on Thursday when I go to the oncologist. Still very sore, and probably won't be able to use for a while but will have it done! That is when I find out if I have to do chemo IV. I already am taking a pill and will have to take for 5 years they say. But if that's all I am thrilled also. My baby sister did the same surgery, but is getting reconstructed at same time. Hers was day before mine. She doesn't have any muscle loss or have to take any chemo, so prayers are answered for her and I am so glad! We are very close in heart and that helps! We are about an hour away from each other so don't see each other much, but talk almost daily. She'll be going back to work in a week or so. If I don't have to do chemo I'll be able to go back at the end of June hopefully. I do apologize for not seeing the post sooner. Haven't been able to garden so haven't been on much lately. Actually not even on until the last week. Thanks so much for thinking of me and know that I am hanging in there, staying postive, and have a whole new outlook on life! Hug to all, Melinda

Grandmapoo, yous has it, yes yous has, fersure! I spelled it incorrectly. Well I didn't spell "it" incorrectly, I spelled "stationary" incorrectly, for the intended usage. Which were paper and stuff, not standing still. It should have been spelled "s-t-a-t-i-o-n-e-r-y". Well "it" should not have been spelled "s-t-a-t-i-o-n-e-r-y" just "stationary" should have been spelled "s-t-a-t-i-o-n-e-r-y". I hope this has cleared up any confusion. It has for mia. Sunshine, MY GOD, so many figs. I never get that many. Do you have any secrets in growing them to get that many? Do you fertilize them? Often? Are they in big pots? Do they sleep all winter? Fantastic job my friend) Brian buddy, can you feel fall in the air? At least smell it? I'm so depressed buddy. I know these beautiful warm nights will be over soon. Many complain it's too hot here, but I love the temps warm enough at night to wear sandals and a t-shirt! I love getting out of this a.c. building to be enveloped into the warm air when I get out and hear the birds flying over head and the crickets at night on a windless night. So tranquil and relaxing. I am not looking forward to the winds and change buddy, sad. The mornings are dark now and the nights dark so much earlier than a week ago. I am beginning to feel like I don't want to make room for my trees in fall. I would love to just bring in my favorite and let the rest go buddy. Although young, I don't think I can muster up energy to even try to grow them all winter. Yes, that thing scared me half to death buddy! To be trying to get rid of one in my room with my boxers on at 10 at night, and to get chased by one after work. Yuk! Then when I went to water my plants on my flat roof, wouldn't you know they crapped on my favorite jades. I am going to get rid of them. It has not rained here for a few days buddy and today it reached a whopping 98 degrees! Hot and no rain. Back to drought again buddy(( Hugs right back at you. By the way, what a beautiful picture of that butterfly and your trees!! I am getting into the butterfly thingy and growing milk weed for that purpose not to say the flowers smell so sweet too)) Brian, question? I was wondering if you think it's better if we cut our trees way back in Spring so that they are manageable to bring in without cutting back in fall? Does cutting them back in fall encourage them to put out poor spindly growth for winter like candy for bugs? What do you think? I was wondering this the other day buddy. Nancy, well look at that! It's amazing what warm sunny weather will do. That's why it's so depressing to not be able to stick them in a nice large greenhouse all winter. I can't stand subjecting them to less than ideal conditions for months on end((( Great job! Nancy, you are a riot. That big wow.
