such luck. At least I know its been released. Thanks for letting us know that they have switched to black pots. I didn't know this. Apparently, we haven't gotten any new EA plants in my area since all the pots are still orange.

If you want, you can email me a picture(my page) and I "might" be able to post it here for you. I am really curios to see what it looks like.

Hi All,

Cyberdancer emailed me a couple of photos of HER ROYAL FLUSH...NOT mine.

We can see the NEW black pot that EA is using with the matching black hangers. You can see the red/maroon vines also. Although I was hoping to see red speckles on some of the leaves...very similar to snow caps except for the red vines.

I saw the Royal Flush yesterday at a HD in Philadelphia. I had no idea that it was a new release. I thought it was an interesting Lacunosa with red vines. Is it supposed to have red speckles under the right conditions? Will it flower differently than the snow caps?
Puglvr: the box stores around here are still getting orange pots too from what I can tell; the last shipment had both.

That's a very nice looking plant and the new black pot shows it off nicely. I don't think I've ever seen a black hanging pot before.

However I do have to wonder why they changed pot color, does anyone know. I also wonder if the black will heat up the plant more in summer.

After reading this, I checked the three EAs I got this year and two were in red hanging baskets and one was in a black hanging basket. The black basket is bigger than the red. Maybe it's just a bigger size pot and with a different color they can price accordingly and is easier to differentiate the two...

Sorry if I confused you about the red speckles...I was saying that I was "hoping" it would have red speckles. But it isn't suppose to have it. I thought that would have been really cool.

More light may bring out the reddish color more, it does for the Ruby Sue.

Thanks ks-girl, I was just going to ask about that. I'm pretty sure it had just come out of the box when I got it. It was very droopy, but it's looking much better now.

My home depot got a new shipment of hoyas today, but all they got was (4) Compacta. This is actually the first time I've ever seen Compacta here since I started collecting them.

Jo, you might be right...the more light it gets, maybe the redder the leaves become?

Well I took a little road trip to Littleton, CO. and stopped at a Lowe's and low and behold I found and bought 2 Royal Flush baskets!! I was in shock when the first place I tried I succeeded! My husband was relieved to say the least! haha.
So add Colorado to the list of places it has shown up!,,,,Debbie

I did more of a jaw drop and hit the floor when I read the tag actually said Royal Flush! I almost skipped up to the counter to pay swinging both baskets! haha. I told the clerk how special it was to me that I'd found this particular plant. She actually listened.
I had my Lowes garden order lady ask special for a basket to come in the next order they got and when she called in the order she was told it wasn't delegated for Oklahoma region yet. So I take it they are releasing RF in certain areas in some kind of orderly way only they know.
Sooner or later I guess it will spread out to everywhere though my store has yet to get a 'Ruby Sue' yet! So if not for my trip to CO. who knows when 'Royal Flush' will make it to Oklahoma! Thanks to you I have the 'Ruby Sue' Pug! :-)

The black pots at my stores are for week 32 shipments. The red pots were for week 21 shipment and prior. The black pots are what they are currently using.

I still haven't seen RF here in VA yet, but have purchased a possible Ruby Sue which was labeled H Lacunosa. Idk - minimum wage workers perplex me.
